Day 366 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card is a celebratory card - I have completed my 366 day challenge and am now thinking as to what to do for my next one starting tomorrow! This one is made by using some Peel Off stickers, some embellishments from Craftwork Cards and a DL card from Hunkydory!

Hip, Hip Horray - Celebrate Happy New Year - DL balloons card - Day 366 of my 366 day challenge-

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all cut out the pink "serrated edged" border strip using a template on CANVAS and cut it out using my Brother ScanNCut.
  • Before I glued all of it down, I added some twine to the "Hip,Hip Hooray" tag and placed part of it under the strip so that it was attached.
  • I had coloured the "Champagne Flutes" peel off stickers using alcohol markers and cut it out using a Spellbinders ornate frame die  and added it to the middle of the card using foam pads.
  • I then used some "Balloons" from the "Celebrate" kit from Craftwork Cards and glued them to either side of the topper using CS glue.
  • Finally, I added some "string" to each of the balloons using a "Black" fineliner pen.
  • I also added a "Cheers" topper to the back of the envelope to add that final embellishments...

And there you are - a fun card that I made using a Spellbinder Die, some celebration balloons and tags from Craftwork Cards and my Brother ScanNCut.

Cute frogs hand coloured and stamped 6in card -
Day 364 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card has been made using a cute "frog" stamp from Heartfelt Creations, the matching die on a 6in card.

Cute frogs hand coloured and stamped 6in card

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all stamped the "Flirting Frogs" stamp from the Winking Frogs collection by Heartfelt Creations onto some white stamping card and coloured the lily pad in using some pink shades of alcohol markers.
  • I then used green shades of alcohol markers to colour in the two frogs and allowed it to dry.
  • Using the co-ordinating die from the same collection, I cut it out.
  • I then went into CANVAS (the Brother ScanNCut web app) and selected two styles of border strips and cut them out in a darker and lighter pink cardstock.
  • i attached them to the centre of a 6" white card using a tape pen.
  • I also stuck the "Frog" topper to the middle of them both again using a tape pen.
  • For the sentiment I used the "Life" word which is a Tonic Studios die which I had cut out using some black cardstock and glued it to the bottom right hand corner of the card with CS glue.
  • Finally, I used a few "Green" Easy crystal gems in opposite corners and along the border to give it a bit of colour.

And there you are - a fun card that I made using Heartfelt Creations Dies and stamps which I used as a topper, a Tonic Studios die and some gems.

Season's Greetings Rudolph and parcels DL Christmas card - Day 355 of my 366 day challenge

Season's Greetings Rudolph and parcels DL Christmas card -
Day 355 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft Addicts!

It is so near Christmas time now but I have made this "Season's Greetings" DL card using some dies, a hand coloured background and some Nuvo drops....

Season's Greetings Rudolph and parcels DL Christmas card

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all took a pre-cut "Deckle edged" panel (from Craft Creations) and coloured a sky scene using various shades of "Blue" and "Black" distress and dye based ink using a circle of card to mask of the moon.
  • Once I was happy with the overall effect, I took away the mask and very lightly coloured the moon to look as if there were some clouds moving across it.
  • I then cut out the "Rudolph" and "Sleigh" in dark "Kraft" card and glue them on to the panel using CS glue.
  • I also used some "Clear" Wink of Stella on the moon to make it sparkle.
  • I had some of the "parcels" already coloured (they are the "blue" peel off stickers from Craft Creations) and added some Wink of Stella to them too. They were coloured in "Blue, Pink, Red and Light Pink" alcohol markers beforehand. I glued them to the "Sleigh" making it look like they were falling out of the sleigh.
  • The "blue" strips were cut out using my Brother ScanNCut and glued it to either side of the card making sure that the scallops were on the "inside" facing into the Rudolph panel.
  • I then cut out the "Seasons Greetings" sentiment in white card and glued it to the bottom of the DL card using CS glue again.
  • Finally I added some "Strawberry Coulis" Jewel Nuvo Drops (from Tonic Studios) to each strip and some to the sentiment to look like holly berries. I also added a bit to Rudolph's nose!

And there you are - a simple to make Christmas card that I made using some dies, some distress/dye based inks and some alcohol markers.

Robins on branches - 2 C6 Christmas cards - Day 353 of my 366 day challenge

Robins on branches - 2 C6 Christmas cards -
Day 353 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

I have written a couple of days ago about a card I made using these toppers but when I came to look at it again, I realised that I had stamped the sentiment upside down! So rather than wasting the toppers, I used them to make these.

Robins on branches - 2 C6 Christmas cards

How I made these cards:-

  • I had, as I said earlier, both these toppers already which I had made out of a couple of peel off stickers which I had placed on pentagons coloured by using some "Blue - B01" Generation INX dies.
  • I then mat and layered them to a couple of label/tag shapes which I had cut out in blue card and added that to some cream cardstock.
  • I had also cut out a "jagged edged" strip out of "blue" card which I had cut  out using my Brother ScanNCut and trimmed it to fit both of the cards in the centre of them.
  • I then glued on the toppers using CS glue.
  • Finally I used a "flower" stamp (I can't remember if it was from Tattered Lace or Hunkydory and stamped each corner of one of the cards using a "Blue" ink pad - Generation INX, Memento or DoCrafts do great colours!

And there you are - really simple to make Christmas cards that I made as a result of a mistake in stamping! I used a couple of peel off stickers, some alcohol markers and some stamps.

Abstract modern patterns - DL white card - Day 352 of my 366 day challenge

Abstract modern patterns - DL white card -
Day 352 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card for my challenge has a general theme with no snowman, Father Christmas in sight!  I have used peel off stickers, Mica paints and a general sentiment to make this card.

Abstract modern patterns - DL white card

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all took two matching "Abstract" peel off sticker panels and placed them on some super smooth card.
  • Using Mica paints, I coloured both of them in trying to match the colours in each of them. I left them to dry and added them to a pre-cut deckle edged "Black" panel using CS glue.
  • I then cut out a border strip in "black" card using my Brother ScanNCut and placed it in the centre of a DL card using CS glue again.
  • I used some fingerlift tape to attach the 2 panels to the front of the card and then added some colour to the "Just a Little Something for you" sentiment and placed it in the middle of the card using foam pads.
And there you are - a really simple to make general card as it just used a couple of peel off stickers, some Mica paints and a sentiment.

Snowman scene 6" stamp shaped Christmas Card - Day 351 of my 366 day challenge

Snowman  scene 6" stamp shaped Christmas Card -
Day 351 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Day 351 of my 366 day challenge and I have made this 6" Stamp shaped Christmas card using a "Snowman" topper from Hunkydory along with the card which is again from Hunkydory.

Snowman scene 6" stamp shaped Christmas Card

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all folded this 6" "Stamp" shaped card and took out the spare parts in the crease.
  • I then removed the central aperture panel as I would be using it later.
  • I stamped the front of the card using a "flower" stamp (I think from Tattered Lace) using a "Blue" dye based ink mini pad (from DoCrafts Papermania) - 2nd and 3rd generation the flower to give it a different effect.
  • I then took one of the "Snowman" topper sheets from Hunkydory's "Sparkling Season" Little Book of Toppers and cut it out using Tonic Studios' "Threaded Scallop Square" die making sure that it fitted the aperture before hand.
  • Placing the panel through the aperture to ensure that it was in the right place, I glued it using a tape runner pen.
  • I then stuck the topper on to it using Collall All Purpose glue so I could move it into the right place.
  • Finally, I used "Sea Breeze" Jewel drops from Tonic Studios' Nuvo range and added them to the centre of some of the flowers.

And there you are - a really cheerful "Christmas" DL card! It is simple to make as it just used a topper sheet from Hunkydory along with one of their cards.

Happy Christmas - Snowman with broom DL card - day 350 of my 366 day challenge

Happy Christmas - Snowman with broom DL card -
day 350 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

So today's card is one using the "Snowman with broom" peel off again - this time a DL Christmas card.

Happy Christmas - Snowman with broom DL card

How I made this card:-

  • I really love these "Snowmen" peel off stickers and so once again have made a Christmas card using them.
  • I first of all added the sticker to some super smooth card and coloured the background (masking off the snowman) using some "Blue - B01" Generation INX inks using more at the top of the card to make it darker (and leaving some white space around the snowman).
  • I had added the peel off sticker "Snowflakes" before I coloured it and removed them once I had finished (using them like a stencil).
  • I also masked off some of the lower part of the card and left it white so it looked like snow.
  • I then coloured the scarf and hat in using "Red and Yellow" alcohol markers and the broom with 2 shades of "Brown"
  • I also used a "Beige/grey" marker to give the snowman some depth.
  • I edged the white panel with a "Blue" alcohol marker and glued it onto some more white card (leaving a narrow border) and then on to some blue card (This is the tear and share card from Kanban) and again edged it in the blue alcohol marker.
  • I then glued it to the top of a DL card using Collall All Purpose glue.
  • I cut out two different sized panels (one white and one blue) using the "Torn Edged Rectangles" from Tattered Lace and attached the "Happy Christmas red and gold peel off stickers on to the smaller white panel and glued that to the larger blue one.
  • I then attached it to the bottom of the card using some foam pads.
  • Finally I used some "Sea Breeze" Jewel Nuvo drops to the centre of the snowflakes and let it dry.

And there you are - a really cheerful "Christmas" DL card! It is simple to make as it just used a few peel off stickers, some alcohol markers and a couple of dies!
