Home is where the heart is - New home card - Cats in silhouette -
Day 75 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I really enjoyed making this card, especially as it was my card I gave to my daughter and son-in-law for their new home. The main focal image is Toby's sill from Tonic Studios and I love it..
So, I first cut out all the main component parts individually in black card - There are 2 different "curtain options" and I chose the Venetian blind type one and cut them out twice. The cats are separate dies too and you could have them the other way round.
I then placed the whole topper onto another piece of black card allowing for a narrow frame. I then added the 2nd cat on using some foam pads to lift him/her up a bit.
Using Collall All purpose glue, I then added it to the left hand side of a 6" square white card. adding 2 sets of 3 black Crystal drops (Nuvo from Tonic Studios).
I stamped the "Home is where the heart is" sentiment onto some stamping card and embossed it with some gold powder. I cut it into a pennant shape and glued it onto some black card and cut that out to the same shape. I added it to the main card using some foam pads.
There you are - a really striking card that says Welcome to your new home. You can buy it here on my website.
